An excellent opportunity has arisen at Wistaria & Milford Surgeries for an individual looking for a varied role within primary care, assisting the practice, management team and clinical team to administer and process the ever-increasing administrative work.  

As an Administrator you will join a team who work collaboratively in a values-based organisation to deliver a quality service for our patients within a confidential and safe environment by working together.  Working as part of the larger administrative team, carrying out administration tasks and requirements whilst contributing to the overall output. 

To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of administrative duties and the provision of general support to the team. Duties can include but are not limited to:  

Preparing letters and documents as required, processing requests for information completion and processing. Checking email inboxes and sifting; accordingly, tasks as directed and reception and phone cover when needed and notes summarising. 

Job Summary 

The post holder will be part of the Admin Team. The key aspect of the role is workflow optimisation, which involves reading & processing electronic documents including coding, following set pathways, and escalating documents to GP’s or other members of the surgery team.  Full training would be given but it would be great to hear from you if you have workflow experience or indeed have previously worked in a GP practice/clinical environment and are looking for a change. We are a large team based over two sites in Lymington and Milford on Sea. 

Primary Responsibilities 

  • Workflow optimisation 
  • Coding 
  • Send invite letters/texts to patients 
  • General administrative duties i.e processing tasks, dealing with enquiries from colleagues and patients 
  • Receiving and responding to email requests 

Secondary Responsibilities 

The above is not exhaustive. The post holder may from time to time be required to undertake other activities.
