Repeat Prescriptions

Posted by: siteadmin - Posted on:

Repeat prescriptions can be requested in a number of ways, and we can take requests up to a week in advance of your medication running out:

  1. By post
  2. By putting your request in writing (in light of the Coronavirus Pandemic please put your request through the letterbox/outside post boxes provided rather than entering the practice).
  3. By asking your local pharmacy to make the request (your local pharmacist can also give you details and sign you up for the new Electronic Prescribing Service.)
  4. Online via ………….. (if you have already got a username and password)
  5. Via the NHS App – download the App and verify your ID, you will then be able to access our online system.

During the Coronavirus Pandemic: Please let us know which chemist you would like your prescription sent to if you haven’t already done so. You will no longer be able to collect your prescription from the surgery. You need to allow 2 working days for processing with us plus the chemists turnaround time, to prepare and dispense your medication. If you are a VIP (Vulnerable Isolated Person) and someone is collecting medication on your behalf, please ensure it is ready for collection at the chemist before they visit.

We are sorry we cannot accept requests for a repeat prescription by telephone. (This still applies during the Coronavirus Pandemic).
