Don’t forget to order your repeat medications in time for Christmas

With less than a month away we are urging patients to order their repeat medication in time and not leave until the last minute, to make sure they have enough medication to last over the festive period.  Regular repeat prescriptions take 48hours to issue.

Christmas can be a busy period for people and they often forget to order essentials, such as medication.  Please check your current medication and see if you have enough to last you through the festive period and in to the New Year.

Ordering repeat prescriptions can be done online with many GP practices. Getting regular prescriptions online can save patients time and avoid unnecessary trips to the GP. Use the ‘services near you’ search https://www.nhs.uk/service-search to check whether a GP or pharmacy currently provides this service.  Or you can use the The NHS App https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-services/online-services/nhs-app/
